Revision Rhinoplasty
HIVOM PLASTIC SURGERY
Revision surgery requires more effort and time compared to a first-time surgery.
Revision rhinoplasty is necessary when you are not satisfied about the shape of your nose after rhinoplasty
or when complications arise, and an accurate analysis of the underlying causes is crucial.
The specialized surgeons at HIVOM Plastic Surgery conduct safe revision rhinoplasty that can satisfy both aesthetic and functional aspects.

Candidates for Revision Rhinoplasty
HIVOM PLASTIC SURGERY
Case 1:
When the nose is too high or low
After removing the existing silicone implant, the surgeon inserts a custom prosthesis of appropriate height to correct the height of the nose. This is done according to each individual patient’s face.
Case 2:
When the silicone implant is visible
We will consider a cartilage transplantation to supplement the thickness of the skin tissue in the area where the implant is visible while reducing the size of the prosthesis.
Case 3:
When the prosthesis moves
After removing the existing prosthesis, the surgeon creates a new space between the bone and periosteum. The implant is trimmed to fit the shape of the nose.
Case 4:
When the nasal tip is retracted
After removing the existing prosthesis and waiting for the surrounding tissue to soften for about 6 months, the nasal bridge is raised with a silicone implant. The shortened nasal tip is corrected by elongating it with septal cartilage.
Case 5:
When you experience inflammation
In the early stages of inflammation the doctor will prescribe antibiotics and further inflammation is relieved with prescription injections. If inflammation continues, the surgeon can correct this by removing the prosthesis and treating inflammation. This is followed by the insertion of a new prosthesis or by using autologous tissue (cartilage)
Case 6:
When the nasal tip droops
First, the surgeon will accurately analyse the cause of the nasal tip droop. Then, the nasal structure, including cartilage, is rearranged to achieve the ideal nasal shape.
